The Principal
The principal of CDC is Mr. Pierre Leblanc. Pierre Leblanc is a former Commander of the Canadian Forces responsible for the security of Canada's North. Upon retirement from the Canadian Forces, he joined Diavik Diamond Mines Inc in 2000 as the Vice President of Corporate Affairs until 2003. In 2003, he formed Canadian Diamond Consultants Inc.
Pierre is knowledgeable of the Canadian diamond industry and its place in the world. He monitors the diamond industry in Canada from exploration to retail. He has extensive contacts in the diamond industry and government. Pierre is one of the architects of the Canadian Voluntary Code of Conduct for the Authentication of Canadian Diamond Claims and was instrumental in the enactment in record time of Bill C-14 in support of the domestic implementation of the Kimberley Process in Canada.
